THE Getaway Club held their annual sports night at Horncastle Community Centre last week.

Members of the social group for adults with special needs participated in activities such as relay races and egg and spoon races.

A presentation was held at the end of the event as well, with medals and awards bought with a [pounds sterling]1,000 grant donated from the Lincolnshire Co-operative as part of the supermarket's birthday celebrations.

The club held a disco at the community centre on Thursday night.

Other events coming up this month are a belly dancing night on September 22 and a Banovallum Brass concert at St Mary's Church on September 29.
